inKONBINI Brings 1990s Japan to Life — Cozy Mini-Shop Simulator Launches in 2026

Publisher Beep Japan and studio Nagai Industries have announced that the life-simulation title inKONBINI: One Store. Many Stories will arrive in April 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Set in provincial Japan in the early 1990s, the game places players at the helm of a small 24-hour shop — arranging merchandise, interacting with customers, and making choices that influence their lives.

The protagonist is Makoto Hayakawa, a university student who takes a break from her studies to help her aunt run a cozy konbini. The story develops through her relationships with regular patrons and the gradual unveiling of their lives.

As you progress, you refine your own approach to running the store, learn the habits of frequent visitors, and adapt your service to each person to make their experience more pleasant.

Key features include a meditative atmosphere, a diverse cast of characters with distinct personalities and routines, customer-service mini-games, branching dialogue paths, a carefully recreated 1990s Japanese setting, and ASMR-style sound design that evokes calm and comfort.
