The first teaser for season 2 of A24’s animated breakout, Hazbin Hotel, has surfaced — a rapid-fire 40-second glimpse that will have the show’s fervent fandom combing every frame for clues after the first season’s explosive musical finale. The clip is brief and elliptical: quick, unsettling flashes stitched together beneath a menacing voiceover from Broadway actor Christian Borle, who returns as Vox, the season’s principal antagonist.

Season 1 followed Charlie Morningstar — the daughter of the fallen angel Lucifer — as she pursued a radical plan to redeem damned souls and send them to Heaven. Much of her mission revolves around averting the yearly Extermination, the ritual in which angels descend to cull Hell’s population and keep its inhabitants cowed.

Throughout the first season, Vox positioned himself as an up-and-coming overlord, offering frightened denizens protection from celestial reprisals while quietly preparing to exploit the power vacuum left by recent events. The teaser implies he’s fomenting revolt in Hell — a direct challenge to the very system Heaven uses to control it.

The trailer layers Vox’s pronouncements of “breaking news” and the ominous declaration “Hell will rise” over quick shots of Charlie, Lucifer, Vaggie, hotel maid Niffty, the radio demon Alastor, and several other figures. One arresting beat shows fan-favorite sinner Angel Dust launching from a rooftop toward Husker, who appears bound to a stylized railway in a tableau reminiscent of silent-film melodrama.

The curved track and exaggerated composition give the moment a Dr. Seuss–like surrealism that could easily be a dream-music sequence — though given Hazbin Hotel’s penchant for visually unhinged musical interludes, it may be literal. Either way, viewers won’t have long to wait: the show’s eight-episode second season arrives on Prime Video on October 29, 2025.
