Ice Spice has publicly addressed the unsettling security footage capturing an altercation involving her at a McDonald’s location.

The 26-year-old rapper, known for her hit “Deli,” took to social media on Friday (April 17) to inject a bit of irony into the situation, which unfolded earlier this week at a Hollywood fast-food establishment.

“This wouldn’t happen at Wendy’s,” the Bronx artist quipped while reposting the security clip to her X (formerly Twitter) account. Beyond the witty retort, she also teased a snippet of unreleased music playing in the background of the video.

Reports suggest the star was in Los Angeles to film a commercial for Wendy’s, a brand she has leaned into heavily, even referencing “@wendys princes” in her social media biographies. This follows her high-profile 2023 partnership with Dunkin’, where she appeared in a campaign alongside Ben Affleck.

The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday (April 15). According to footage circulating online, Ice Spice was sitting with an associate when an unidentified woman approached the table. When the rapper declined to engage, the interaction turned physical. The woman allegedly struck the artist, leading to a brief scuffle that moved through the dining area before bystanders intervened.

Bradford Cohen, the rapper’s attorney, confirmed to Billboard that they are actively pursuing legal remedies. “The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD. We are exploring every criminal and civil avenue to ensure the perpetrators are held accountable, while also evaluating whether the venue failed to provide adequate security,” Cohen stated.

Cohen further noted, “These individuals clearly didn’t account for the fact that we would secure the internal security footage. They switched on their cameras only after initiating the assault, seemingly hoping to manufacture a viral moment. The only thing going viral for them now will be their mugshots.”
