Lionsgate staged an open casting call to fill a cameo part in the forthcoming prequel to The Hunger Games, titled Dawn of the Harvest, which is also adapted from Suzanne Collins’ novel of the same name.
The contest’s winner is Florida filmmaker Devon Singteri — he’s set to portray a close friend of Haymitch Abernathy, the central figure in Dawn of the Harvest.
The competition kicked off in May, with entrants asked to submit videos of a performance or song that would feel at home within the world of The Hunger Games.
Francis Lawrence returns to direct the prequel, which is slated to premiere on November 20, 2026. Dawn of the Harvest has already been picked up for distribution in Russia.
