Hollow Knight: Silksong creators may skip The Game Awards — they’re sure another “outstanding” game will win
Silksong won’t be the only contender for Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2025.
Jason Schreier spoke with the team behind Hollow Knight: Silksong. It seems Team Cherry may skip The Game Awards 2025.
When asked whether they’d travel to TGA in Los Angeles, William Pellen replied, “Probably not. We’re very busy.”
There is another factor: a title from Sandfall Interactive is also nominated for Game of the Year.
Ari Gibson added:
I don’t think we’re likely to win this year. [Clair Obscur: Expedition 33] is a remarkable game that has captured broad acclaim. Our title is more polarizing — it draws some players in while putting others off.
