Hocus Pocus to get a third installment

The fantasy-comedy franchise “Hocus Pocus” is officially expanding with a third installment. While specific plot details remain under wraps, it has been confirmed that Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy will reprise their iconic roles as the eccentric Sanderson sisters, the witchy trio who haunt the night every Halloween.

There is speculation that “Hocus Pocus 3” could receive a full-scale theatrical release, departing from the strategy used for its predecessor, which premiered exclusively on Disney+.

The original film follows the Dennison family, who relocate to a small town with a dark history tied to Winifred, Mary, and Sarah Sanderson. Local lore warns that lighting the Black Flame Candle in their former home on Halloween night will resurrect the witches, who have long sought to achieve eternal youth at any cost.
