Hilary Duff’s ‘Luck… or Something’ Claims Victory in Billboard’s Fan-Voted Poll
Hilary Duff has made a triumphant return to the musical spotlight, with her latest project, Luck… or Something, securing the top spot in this week’s fan-voted release roundup.
In a Billboard poll launched on Friday (Feb. 20), enthusiasts voiced their choice, selecting the singer-actress’s long-awaited comeback as their favorite new arrival. The album marks Duff’s first full-length studio effort in over a decade, signaling a significant milestone in her pop career.
Luck… or Something faced stiff competition from a diverse slate of high-profile releases, including new tracks and albums from Megan Moroney, Baby Keem, SZA, and Ty Dolla $ign. However, Duff ultimately achieved a landslide victory; by the time the poll concluded on Sunday, she had commanded a definitive 64% of the total vote.
Coinciding with the Atlantic Records release was the debut of her latest single and music video, “Weather for Tennis.” Reflecting on the creative journey, Duff shared her perspective on the often-discussed balance of personal and professional life.
“There’s that question of whether women can have it all, and through this process I learned I had to sacrifice some things in order to put the record first,” she stated. “As hard as that is, I still believe it’s okay to choose yourself sometimes and do what scares the hell out of you. Carving out the time to make an album after all these years was incredibly powerful for me, and now I can’t wait to share it with the world.”
Duff took a hands-on approach to the collection, co-writing the tracks alongside Brian Phillips and her husband, Matthew Koma, who also served as the album’s producer.
To celebrate the launch, Duff will embark on a comprehensive global headlining tour this summer. The trek includes performances across the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Fans can find the full itinerary on her official website.
Trailing behind Duff in the weekly poll were Megan Moroney’s Cloud Nine with 14% of the vote, followed by Baby Keem’s Ca$ino at 6%, and SZA’s “Save the Day” at 5%.
