In a significant update for the global K-pop community, ENHYPEN is set to move forward as a six-member ensemble. Their agency, BELIFT LAB, officially announced on Tuesday (March 10) that founding member Heeseung has concluded his journey with the group.

The revelation was delivered through a formal statement on the group’s official social media platforms. The agency clarified that this transition follows comprehensive deliberations regarding the collective’s trajectory and Heeseung’s personal artistic evolution.

“Through transparent discussions with each member about their long-term goals and the team’s path, it became evident that Heeseung possesses a unique musical identity he wishes to pursue,” the label shared.

Despite his departure from the lineup, Heeseung will maintain his professional relationship with BELIFT LAB. He remains signed to the agency as he pivots toward a debut as a solo artist. This strategic shift was reportedly finalized after a lengthy period of reflection involving the artist, his bandmates, and the management team.

The remaining members—Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki—will sustain ENHYPEN’s scheduled promotions. While Tuesday’s announcement did not specify dates for upcoming releases or concert tours, the group is expected to continue its activities as a sextet.

Following the news, Heeseung addressed the group’s fanbase, known as ENGENE, with a heartfelt message of appreciation. He expressed deep gratitude for the support that helped him achieve milestones that once seemed unattainable.

“Sharing countless memories with my fellow members and the ENGENE community allowed me to step toward a dream that once felt out of reach,” he wrote. “I am currently dedicating my energy to a new album so that I can reconnect with all of you very soon.”

Heeseung’s career launched in November 2020 after he emerged as a top contestant on the survival program I-LAND. ENHYPEN debuted with the EP Border: Day One, rapidly establishing themselves as a dominant force in the international music scene through subsequent chart-topping releases and global tours.

This exit represents the first change to the group’s roster since their debut four years ago. While BELIFT LAB confirmed that Heeseung is actively preparing for his solo debut, specific details regarding the project’s title or release window have yet to be disclosed.
