HBO Head Hints at Third Season of “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”

HBO chief Casey Bloys recently shared insights into the network’s upcoming roadmap, inadvertently hinting at a potential release window for a third season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms—an installment that has yet to be officially greenlit.

In an interview with Deadline, Bloys suggested that the series is uniquely positioned for an annual release cycle, largely due to its more manageable production scale compared to other high-fantasy epics.

“Production for the second season is currently in progress. One of the show’s primary strengths is its streamlined scope, which allows us to return to it on a yearly basis,” the executive noted.

This suggests a consistent rollout strategy: if the second season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms arrives in 2027, fans can logically anticipate the third chapter by 2028.

The series chronicles the exploits of Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) and his squire, Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell). A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms serves as a live-action adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s acclaimed novellas set within the world of Westeros.
