Harry Styles is set to leave his distinct mark on one of London’s most storied cultural hubs, having officially unveiled his hand-picked lineup for the 2026 Meltdown Festival.

Reflecting on the appointment, Styles shared his enthusiasm for the project: “Music is the core of my existence. Every musician participating in this year’s festival holds a special place in my heart, both as a listener and a creator. It is a profound privilege to host the legends who defined the landscape for those of us following them, alongside the fresh voices that challenge me to evolve artistically.”

Scheduled to take over the Southbank Centre from June 11 to June 21, the event is a testament to Styles’ eclectic sensibilities. The program masterfully weaves together established alternative pioneers and emerging talent across the worlds of indie, jazz, electronic, and pop. As the festival’s visionary, Styles is also confirmed to headline a special performance at the Royal Festival Hall.

A Diverse Sonic Roster

The indie-centric portion of the bill is particularly strong, featuring a rare live set from Stephen Fretwell. Joining him are the likes of Dev Hynes (Blood Orange), Orlando Weeks, Nilüfer Yanya, Bar Italia, and Warpaint. Styles has also carved out space for rising talent, including the Bristol-based duo Getdown Services and the acclaimed Australian producer Ninajarichi.

Jazz enthusiasts can look forward to a formidable lineup of heavyweights, including Kamasi Washington and the legendary Mulatu Astatke. They are joined by key figures of the contemporary British jazz scene, such as Yussef Dayes and Shabaka Hutchings.

The experimental and electronic offerings are equally compelling. Erika de Casier and Fousheé will bring their avant-pop textures to the stage, while ambient masters Jon Hopkins and Beverly Glenn-Copeland provide a more atmospheric experience. Notably, James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem is also slated to perform—an artist Styles cited as a primary influence for his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.

Ticket Access and Legacy

While specific ticketing details for Styles’ personal headline show are expected shortly, tickets for the broader festival lineup will be available to Southbank Centre members starting Thursday, April 9, at 10 a.m. BST. The general public sale will follow on Friday, April 10, through the official venue website.

By taking the helm of Meltdown, the former One Direction star joins an elite circle of past curators that includes Robert Smith of The Cure, David Byrne, Grace Jones, Nick Cave, and the most recent host, Little Simz.

Styles continues to dominate the charts following the release of Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally, which debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard 200 and the U.K. Official Albums Chart. The record has already produced global hits like “Aperture” and “American Girls.” Fans can catch him live later this year on the Together, Together Tour, which begins its international run in Amsterdam on May 16.
