Harry Styles fully embraced his inner Lord of the Dance in a spirited, St. Patrick’s Day-inspired sketch during his latest stint on Saturday Night Live.

Taking on the rare responsibility of both host and musical guest for the March 14 episode, the 32-year-old pop icon starred in a pre-taped segment about a group of friends whose night at the club takes an sharp, rhythmic turn. The sketch, titled “She’s an Irish Dancer,” begins with Styles leaning into a smooth R&B persona, crooning about the exclusive VIP lifestyle and the “dancers” keeping him company.

The mood shifts instantly when one of the women, portrayed by Chloe Fineman, pulls Styles aside for what he assumes will be a private performance. Instead of a sultry routine, she reveals her true specialty: traditional Irish step dancing. Joined by her troupe in full Riverdance-style regalia, she transforms the club into a competitive stage of synchronized kicks and rigid posture.

Refusing to be left out, Styles eventually decides he has to “match their energy.” The scene transitions to the singer sporting a quintessential Michael Flatley ensemble—a billowing, silky white blouse and a black headband. Against a dreamlike, starry backdrop, Styles leads a high-octane finale, executing an elaborate routine amidst a sea of stage fog.

The sketch wraps up with Styles offering a charismatic wink to the camera and a festive “Happy St. Paddy’s Day” greeting to the audience.

Beyond the comedic highlights, Styles used his opening monologue to joke about his time away from the spotlight. He later took the stage to perform two standout tracks from his fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.
