HBO has officially greenlit a second season of its television adaptation of the Harry Potter series, according to recent media reports.
The upcoming episodes will adapt J.K. Rowling’s second novel, “The Chamber of Secrets.” Jon Brown, known for his work on “Succession,” has been tapped to serve as showrunner. Production for the new season is scheduled to commence this autumn.
The inaugural season, based on “The Sorcerer’s Stone,” is set to premiere on December 25th. The cast features performances by Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton, Alastair Stout, among others.
