Cosplayers Klementina “RENA” Ziegler and DaimonD stepped into the bleak world of the game “Zaychik,” embodying Anton Petrov and Alisa, listening to voices in the eerie forest and becoming part of the nightmare.
Although the fifth episode of the nonlinear horror visual novel “Zaychik” disappointed many players, studio Saikono has apologized and already begun work on visual fixes and resolving the logical inconsistencies in the finale’s plot.
To cheer up the game’s community, photographer Daria Lazur released a fresh series of images dedicated to “Zaychik.” The photos show cosplayers Klementina “RENA” Ziegler and DaimonD (akarmine_akvamarine) portraying characters such as Anton “Tosha” Petrov and Alisa.
Anton Borisovich Petrov is the story’s main character — a sixth-grader who recently moved to the village where his mother once lived. He’s short, with shaggy, snow-white hair and matching brows and lashes.
Outdoors he typically wears a warm gray hooded jacket, black gloves, and a striped hat bearing circular “Sport” lettering. Anton is intelligent, well-read, talented at drawing, and blessed with an overactive imagination.
Alisa is the deuteragonist whose choices influence the story’s outcome. She wears a coat with large, voluminous white-fur inserts, dark leather gloves, and a striking fox mask.
In conversation Alisa behaves like an eccentric with deep knowledge of the forest and its inhabitants. She hides many secrets and is likely not the person Anton believes her to be.
