Hanno: A Magical Tale shows a boy and elephant sharing one source of magic
One Way Eleven has shared a new trailer for Hanno: A Magical Tale, its action-adventure planned for PC in 2027.
The game follows Vimal, an orphaned boy who finds an injured baby elephant in a forest. Hanno’s magic works while Vimal carries him, linking their abilities during exploration, puzzles and combat. At some points they separate and players take control of Hanno.
Their journey takes place in Ashar, a fantasy world with its own written language. A spreading threat drives them through forests, old waterways and ruins.
The studio says the premise was inspired by the real elephant Hanno, sent from Portugal to the Pope in 1514. The game reimagines that starting point as an original fantasy, rather than a historical retelling. The new trailer shows the pair travelling and fighting together.
