Two of the most celebrated titles of 2025 are finally expanding their reach. Last year, Hades II and Dispatch dominated critical conversations, with the former securing the number two spot on the year-end best-of lists and the latter narrowly missing a top-ten placement. Despite their pedigree, both titles shared a common limitation: they were noticeably absent from the Xbox library. That exclusion is about to end, as Supergiant Games and AdHoc Studio have confirmed that their respective hits will arrive on Microsoft’s platform in the coming months.
In Hades II, players step into the boots of Melinoë, venturing through the treacherous layers of the Underworld to wage war against Chronos, the Titan of Time. Following up on one of the most influential indie titles in history was no small feat, yet the sequel managed to surpass its predecessor, establishing a new gold standard for the roguelite genre. On the other hand, Dispatch—a witty superhero workplace comedy—revitalized the episodic adventure format originally popularized by Telltale Games. Rather than merely mimicking cinematic tropes, Dispatch delivers the narrative depth and character-driven stakes typically reserved for prestige streaming dramas, punctuated by engaging gameplay segments.

When it originally launched for PC and Nintendo systems in September 2025, Hades II achieved a rare perfect score, with critics describing it as the absolute “pinnacle of the roguelike genre.” Similarly, when Dispatch debuted on PS5 and PC in October, it earned a stellar 9 out of 10. Reviewers praised its sophisticated storytelling and “slow-burn drama,” noting how the emotional stakes tighten effectively throughout each episode.
The wait for Xbox fans is almost over. Hades II is scheduled to launch on Xbox Series X/S and PS5—including a day-one debut on Xbox Game Pass—on April 14. Dispatch is slated to swoop onto the Xbox ecosystem later this summer.
