In a statement to MassivelyOP, Daybreak Games say that they don’t seem to be, the truth is, owned by Columbus Nova:

It seems that the 2015 press launch, saying the acquisition of Daybreak by Columbus Nova, has been deleted from Daybreak’s servers.
