GTA VI should cost $800 — streamer xQc explains his approach to pricing
A segment of the gaming community expects the upcoming installment of this iconic franchise to establish a new pricing standard for the entire industry.
Although pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI are not yet available, the internet is already rife with speculation regarding its retail price. While most AAA titles currently sit in the $60–$70 range, some industry observers suggest the base edition could break tradition with a price tag between $80 and $100.
Popular streamer xQc took the conversation even further, offering a valuation that far exceeds the most aggressive estimates. He suggested that, given the hype, GTA VI could be priced as high as $800.
xQc justified this perspective by pointing to the sheer scale of content and the high level of technical fidelity Rockstar typically delivers, noting that the entertainment value outweighs standard market costs.
The release of Grand Theft Auto VI is currently projected for November 2026.
