An unorthodox tactical maneuver is provoking irritation among some players.
Recently, several Battlefield 6 players uncovered what’s being called a “legal cheat.” Due to a quirk in the game’s mechanics, players are able to ride drones upward.
To pull this off, a pilot climbs onto a drone and repeatedly strikes it with a hammer: by continuing to hit the drone they slowly ascend, allowing them to fire from an elevated position. Afterward, these players can travel to areas they normally shouldn’t be able to reach.
A user known as gointhrusum shared a clip from a match: the screenshot highlights one such player in a red circle (with a teammate nearby) who has positioned themselves on the bridge’s textures — a spot that’s difficult to force them out of.
Gointhrusum argues these players are “making every map unplayable,” and some participants in the discussion are calling on the developers not only to patch the bug but also to sanction those who exploited it.
