When we last left Grace (Samara Weaving), she had survived a wedding night that turned into an unthinkable nightmare. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come suggests that that harrowing evening was only the beginning.
After marrying into the wealthy—and obsessively ritualistic—Le Domas clan, Grace learned the family’s tradition of hide‑and‑seek had lethal stakes. Forced to play for her life, she outwitted her homicidal in‑laws and escaped in a finale that turned conventional horror payoffs on their head.
This sequel expands the scope of that menace. Grace awakens in a hospital under the custody of a shadowy figure known only as The Lawyer (Elijah Wood), an emissary for the High Council: a secret network of powerful families whose reach extends far beyond one household.
To make matters worse, Grace must navigate this new, twisted contest alongside her estranged sister Faith (Kathryn Newton). With four rival families closing in, the sisters’ only option is to survive until dawn—and, if possible, seize the High Seat of the Council before the night ends.
The ensemble also includes Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, David Cronenberg, Kevin Durand, Olivia Cheng, Varun Saranga, and Daniel Beirne. Under the direction of Matt Bettinelli‑Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the film promises a brutal blend of dark humor, kinetic violence, and increasingly deranged gamesmanship.
It’s a bold creative gamble: where the original closed one door, this trailer makes a sequel feel not only plausible but inevitable—an escalation that leans into the franchise’s appetite for inventive, blood‑soaked spectacle.
