Geese Make ‘SNL’ Debut With Performances of ‘Au Pays du Cocaine’ and ‘Trinidad’: Watch

Rising Brooklyn stars Geese officially marked their Saturday Night Live debut this past weekend, bringing their eclectic sound to the legendary Studio 8H.
During the January 24 broadcast, the indie rock ensemble delivered a pair of standout tracks from their third studio album, Getting Killed, which was released to critical acclaim in late 2025. The evening was hosted by multi-talented artist Teyana Taylor, who is currently receiving praise for her role in the Leonardo DiCaprio-led film One Battle After Another and a 2026 Grammy nomination for her R&B project, Escape Room.
For their first set, Geese performed “Au Pays du Cocaine” (In the Land of Cocaine), an energetic highlight from their latest 11-track LP. Later in the show, the group returned alongside touring keyboardist Sam Revaz for a atmospheric and evocative rendition of “Trinidad.”
Despite the polished nature of their SNL performance, the band revealed that the road to finishing Getting Killed—the follow-up to 2023’s 3D Country—was a challenging one. In a candid interview with Rolling Stone, frontman Cameron Winter described the creative process as a “waking nightmare” that persisted until the final mastering. Guitarist Emily Green supported this sentiment, characterizing the album’s completion as a “brute-force effort.”
Currently, Geese is in the midst of an extensive international tour. Following an upcoming performance in Honolulu on January 31, the band will travel overseas before returning to the mainland for the Treefort Music Festival in March. Their busy spring schedule also includes high-profile appearances at Coachella, Governors Ball, and Bonnaroo.
Their SNL appearance follows last week’s episode featuring host Finn Wolfhard and musical guest A$AP Rocky. The late-night series continues next week on January 31 with host Alexander Skarsgård and musical guest Cardi B.
