Drake Sparks Collab Rumors After Surprise Appearance at Ella Langley’s Show

Drake’s ongoing appreciation for rising country powerhouse Ella Langley just reached a whole new level. On Saturday (Aug. 22), the multi-platinum rap titan made an unexpected appearance among the audience at Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock, Arkansas, to catch a stop on Langley’s headlining Dandelion Tour.
Standing alongside country artist ERNEST—who is currently supporting the tour—the OVO founder was captured fully immersing himself in the performance. Concertgoers watched the arena’s jumbotron illuminate with footage of Drake energetically grooving and reciting every lyric to Langley’s chart-dominating anthem, “Choosin’ Texas.”
A Budding Mutual Admiration
The arena sighting comes on the heels of several public nods between the two hitmakers. Just days earlier, Drake lauded the singer-songwriter’s craft by commenting Goated pen 🖊️
beneath an Instagram carousel recapping her Texas tour dates. Earlier in July, he also featured “Choosin’ Texas” during a high-energy guest DJ set at a Houston nightclub.
The reverence clearly runs both ways. Langley took to TikTok on Aug. 15 to share a clip effortlessly reciting Lil Wayne’s iconic hook from Drake’s 2011 Take Care classic, “HYFR (Hell Ya F—king Right).”
Collaboration Rumors Surge Online
With “Choosin’ Texas” cementing its place in music history after logging 18 non-consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100, fans across both genres have begun buzzing about the possibility of a studio collaboration. Social media quickly ignited with theories ranging from a joint crossover single to Drake potentially sampling the country chart-topper on an upcoming project.
The timing coincides with fresh speculation surrounding Drake’s release schedule. Following the roll-out of his recent projects, the Toronto artist recently shared an uncaptioned image of a black-and-white jewel case titled FEAR OF MISSING OUT, leaving listeners eager to decipher his next creative venture.
While Drake previously incorporated stripped-back acoustic arrangements on tracks like HABIBTI’s “Rusty Intro,” a direct venture into modern country would mark uncharted territory for the rapper. Langley, meanwhile, already proved her versatility across genres through her 2025 collaboration with Texas rapper BigXthaPlug on the Top 30 hit “Hell at Night.”
