Fortnite leak hints at massive South Park crossover

We may be heading back to South Park sooner than expected — if the latest Fortnite leak holds up. Renowned leaker Hype X, who has a strong track record, claims there’s a major crossover incoming that will bring South Park elements into Fortnite. None of this is official yet, so treat the details as tentative.

According to the leak, the collaboration would include multiple skins plus a map boss, a new mythic weapon, a respawn medallion, a mystery consumable, and a Rift Anomaly inspired by Kenny’s perpetual deaths — considerably more than a simple shop bundle.

Hype X also suggests the South Park characters will appear in mech-style outfits, following the precedent set by kid characters in previous crossovers like Bart and Lisa from The Simpsons and Morty from Rick and Morty. It’s become Fortnite’s go-to approach for adapting younger animated characters — after all, you can’t exactly expect Eric Cartman to sprint across the island without a little mechanical assistance.

Which specific South Park characters will appear hasn’t been revealed. It seems unlikely, however, that the game would add a playable depiction of President Donald Trump, who’s been featured in several recent episodes of the show. South Park has lampooned him frequently, but that doesn’t necessarily translate to in-game representation.

Reported additions in the update, beyond an unspecified number of skins, include:

• Stick of Truth mythic weapon
• “Everyone Kills Kenny” Rift Anomaly
• Respawn medallion
• At least one South Park–themed boss placed on the map
• A mystery consumable

Details on how most of these items will function remain scarce, but the leak links the Rift Anomaly with the Respawn medallion. In practice, the medallion should automatically revive the holder when they’re eliminated, removing the need for teammates to bring them back with the Reboot Van.

The “Everyone Kills Kenny” anomaly, if implemented as described, would temporarily allow all players to kill Kenny-style — a cheeky nod to the character’s recurring deaths and inevitable returns.

There’s no confirmed release date if this leak proves accurate. Fortnite is currently in the early phases of Chapter 7 Season 1, and the next major milestone is Winterfest, the seasonal event that functions like an Advent calendar for cosmetics. With rumors of a Harry Potter crossover during the holidays, it’s plausible the South Park content could be reserved for the new year.

For now, there’s still plenty to play for in Fortnite. Chapter 7 launched with collaborations such as Kill Bill and Back to the Future. The update has also sparked controversy, with accusations that Epic Games used AI-generated art while designing the new map; one artist has denied using AI in their submitted work, and Epic has not publicly responded to GameSpot’s request for comment.
