Five new Overwatch League groups have allegedly leaked

One devious Redditor claims to have unearthed the names and logos of 5 Overwatch League groups, set to be part of for Season 2.

According to the leak, the names of the brand new groups are Hangzhou Spark, Washington Justice, Paris Eternal, Guangzhou Charge and Chengdu Hunters. This solely leaves the Vancouver crew, who’s branding has but to be revealed (or leaked).

The poster, who goes by the identify of BetterFixThat, claims to have found the groups by guessing their names and looking out them within the official Overwatch League app’s API. While Atlanta Reign’s identify and branding have been beforehand revealed through a leak from the app, we’re nonetheless taking this put up with a Roadhog-sized serving to of salt.

Lending some credibility to the Reddit leak is the set of crew logos (viewable here) that have been allegedly found within the app. While these logos might have simply been faked, they might match the invoice of what we’ve come to count on from OWL crew crests.

If the leak seems to be bogus, it wouldn’t be the primary time followers have suckered the OWL neighborhood with faux crew branding. Just two weeks in the past, an admittedly convincing mock-up of ‘Toronto Venom’ crew branding began doing the rounds, full with a faux emblem and skins for Reaper and Sombra.

If the leak is actual, then we will count on to see some official bulletins within the coming weeks and days. Roster fever is already in full swing, as a number of groups have already introduced their 2019 line-ups.

One such crew is the Paris franchise. Last week, one other Redditor found it’s house owners DM Esports have utilized for a trademark for the identify Paris Eternal with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), so it appears pretty doubtless that this identify no less than is authentic.

These new groups will be part of Atlanta Reign and Toronto Defiant when the second season kicks off in February 2019.
