The next installment of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure opened with momentum when the first trailer for Steel Ball Run premiered during a special livestream on September 23, 2025 — the same date the race central to the story begins. The anime is slated to stream globally on Netflix in 2026.

Steel Ball Run is the seventh part of Hirohiko Araki’s long-running JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure saga. While Araki’s manga has enjoyed enduring popularity since its debut, the anime adaptations transformed the property into an international sensation: memorable characters, inventive supernatural conflicts, and striking, pose-driven visuals have all helped build a vast and passionate fanbase eager for a first look at this new adaptation.

Set in the United States in 1890, part seven follows competitors in a transcontinental race vying for a $50 million prize. The story returns many of the series’ hallmark elements — including Stand abilities — while introducing a fresh mechanic called the Spin, which echoes the Hamon energy from earlier arcs. Although some familiar names reappear after the reality-shifting events of part six, Stone Ocean, they often take on new forms and roles; standout figures in this entry include Johnny Joestar, Gyro Zeppeli, and Diego Brando.

The adaptation is being produced by david production. Yasuhiro Kimura and Hideya Takahashi are credited as directors, with Toshiyuki Kato serving as series director. Daisuke Tsumagari is handling character design and chief animation duties, Yasuko Kobayashi is on series composition, Yugo Kanno composes the score, and Yoshikazu Iwanami returns as sound director.

No exact premiere date has been announced yet; the only confirmed window is a global Netflix release sometime in 2026.
