Final Fantasy XIV’s Most Unique Crossover Officially Returns This Week
Final Fantasy 14 is no stranger to unexpected crossovers. Over its decade-plus lifespan, Square Enix’s acclaimed MMORPG has welcomed characters and locations from various Final Fantasy entries, NieR: Automata, Monster Hunter, and more. Even within that diverse lineup, however, the collaboration with Fall Guys stands out as uniquely inspired. Fortunately, those chaotic multiplayer obstacle courses are making a triumphant return to Eorzea for a limited time.
Square Enix has officially announced that the beloved crossover event will kick off on October 7 at 1:00 a.m. PDT. Warriors of Light will have a window of nearly three weeks to dive into the fun, as the festivities wrap up on October 27 at 7:59 a.m. PDT. This marks the fifth time the popular crossover has run since its initial debut in 2023, following repeat appearances in 2024 and 2025.
To join the party, adventurers must pick up the introductory quest titled “Just Crowning Around” from Lewena in The Gold Saucer. Participants need to be at least level 15 and have previously completed the prerequisite quest “It Could Happen to You.” Veterans of past iterations can jump right back into the action and bypass the preamble.
Final Fantasy 14 x Fall Guys collaboration activities and exclusive loot
True to its source material, the crossover revolves around frantic, high-stakes obstacle courses designed to weed out players round by round. Dubbed Blunderville, the special game mode spans three distinct stages, culminating in a single champion taking home the crown. Several of the featured minigames faithfully recreate iconic challenges from the original platformer.
Competing in Blunderville earns you Manderville Gold Saucer Fame (MGF), with payouts scaling according to your placement in each round. This specialized currency can be spent at the MGF Trader located in Blunderville Square. While there’s plenty of merchandise to purchase, standout rewards include an adorable pink bean minion, comfortable Fall Guys-inspired loungewear, and gleaming victor’s crowns. A complete inventory of available prizes and their corresponding MGF costs can be found on the official event portal.
