Filming of Sarik Andreasyan’s “War and Peace” Has Wrapped

Distributor Atmosfera Kino and the Andreasyan Brothers Film Company have officially announced the wrap of principal photography for the upcoming feature film War and Peace. This latest cinematic adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s literary masterpiece is scheduled to hit theaters on February 18, 2027.

Helmed by director Sarik Andreasyan (known for Onegin), the film features an ensemble cast including Nikolay Shrayber as Pierre Bezukhov, Stanislav Bondarenko as Andrei Bolkonsky, Polina Gukhman as Natasha Rostova, Matvey Lykov as Anatole Kuragin, Liza Moryak as Helene Kuragina, and Taisiya Kalinina as Sonya Rostova, among others.

Wrapping production on War and Peace brings a profound sense of both relief and immense responsibility. We have engaged with a work that serves as a cornerstone of our cultural identity, and from the very beginning, we recognized the vital importance of preserving its human authenticity. — Andreasyan stated in the official press release. The narrative explores the lives of aristocrats as their destinies become irrevocably intertwined with the Patriotic War of 1812. Notably, another adaptation of the novel is currently in development by filmmaker Sergey Ursulyak, with a projected premiere in 2028.
