FICS*MAS returns — now on PS5 and Xbox

The festive season is upon us, and this year FICS*MAS is launching for the first time on PS5 and Xbox so everyone can join the celebrations. The event runs from December 1, 2025 through January 18, 2026.

If you prefer not to participate, you can disable seasonal events from the main menu: Options > Gameplay > Disable Seasonal Events.

Because so many players are joining us on consoles this year, we’ve kept the event familiar for returning pioneers — only minor bug fixes and quality-of-life adjustments have been applied.

FICS*MAS building competition

We’re also running a community competition for PC and console players. Enter by creating your ultimate FICS*MAS workshop or Santa’s Grotto in Satisfactory. The contest is open now through January 9, 2026. Full details and submission rules are on Reddit:

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue preventing calendar rewards on the updated FICS*MAS calendar from being claimed if all rewards had been unlocked the previous year.

    • Please note: FICS*MAS Gifts will stop falling from the sky after you build 10 FICS*MAS Gift Trees — this is intended behavior, not a bug.
    • The FICS*MAS Holiday Event MAM research will remain completed and will not reset after finishing it.

  • Further font-size adjustments in the Options menu dropdowns to improve readability on Steam Deck.
