Far Cry TV Series Cast Announced

FX has officially unveiled the latest additions to the cast of its upcoming Far Cry adaptation, which is slated for a 2027 premiere.

The ensemble will feature Academy Award nominees Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin) and Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight), alongside Hamish Linklater (The Bay), Sam Spruell (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), and Jamie Demetriou (Fleabag).

The series will be available to stream on Hulu. They join previously announced cast members Rob McElhenney, Lizzy Caplan, and Steve Buscemi. The show is being developed by McElhenney and Noah Hawley (Fargo).

Far Cry is being developed as an anthology series. The original video game, launched by Ubisoft in 2004, centers on a protagonist tasked with dismantling various threats—ranging from mercenary factions to ruthless dictators and arms dealers—who have seized control of remote, volatile regions. The only previous live-action adaptation was Uwe Boll’s 2008 film starring Til Schweiger.
