Falchion Tank Destroyer for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy to be Released in Plastic

Games Workshop is steadily preparing to launch pre-orders for the plastic Falchion tank hunter miniature and a 48-page tactical supplement focusing on the super-heavy armor of the Legiones Astartes.

The Warhammer: The Horus Heresy design team has announced the upcoming plastic release of the formidable Falchion Super-Heavy Tank Destroyer.

Describing it as a dedicated anti-armor platform would be a vast understatement; this engine’s primary directive is to core out the hulls of enemy Titans. Anything less than a God-Machine caught in its sights is essentially rendered non-existent in a matter of seconds.

In contrast to the versatile Baneblade, which utilizes a diverse array of weapon systems to engage various targets, the Falchion focuses its entire destructive potential into a massive, hull-mounted Neutron Wave Cannon.

The vehicle is also equipped with secondary turrets for defensive close-quarters engagement, which are particularly effective in dense urban combat. However, with an immense firing range of roughly 10 feet (3 meters) on the tabletop, the Falchion rarely needs to permit an enemy to draw near. Even if the adversary manages to return fire, the tank’s heavy frontal plating and resilient internal systems are designed to withstand significant punishment.

Rules for the Falchion will be detailed in the new 48-page tactical journal, “Mailed Fist: Legiones Astartes Super-Heavy Tanks.”

Pre-orders for the plastic tank kit and the tactical supplement are expected to open in the near future.
