The Eve Online group is paying tribute to famend scientist Professor Stephen Hawking, who handed away yesterday on the 76-years-old, by lighting up the universe with beacons in his honour.

Originally reported by PC Gamer, a Reddit thread, by kairiola, began the tributes yesterday, suggesting gamers lay down their arms, head to New Eden, and light-weight their cynosural beacons in memoriam of Hawking from 22:00 (UTC).
