We are delighted to announce that Thermo King, a global pioneer in climate-controlled transport solutions, is officially coming to ETS2. This collaboration brings authentic refrigeration units to our fleet of trailers as a completely free update for all players.
Since its inception in 1938, Thermo King—a trusted brand under Trane Technologies—has set the industry benchmark for temperature-sensitive logistics. Their sophisticated cooling systems are essential for protecting everything from perishable foods and life-saving pharmaceuticals to sensitive electronics, ensuring that goods remain in pristine condition regardless of the outside climate. Their expertise spans a wide range of platforms, including trailers, trucks, railcars, and intermodal containers.
In Euro Truck Simulator 2, these officially licensed Thermo King units will replace the generic, unbranded refrigeration systems previously found on our base game and DLC reefer trailers. This upgrade introduces a deeper level of immersion, allowing you to haul temperature-sensitive cargo with industry-standard equipment.
Starting with update 1.59, your single trailers will feature high-performance models including the A-360, A-400, A-500, SLXi 300, and SLXi 400, offering tailored refrigeration solutions for your specific hauling requirements. Additionally, we are introducing the UT-1400R, an under-mounted unit specifically engineered for double-trailer configurations.
