ENHYPEN Breaks Silence on Heeseung’s Departure, Vowing to Stay Strong for ENGENE

Following the stunning announcement of Heeseung’s exit, the remaining members of ENHYPEN are presenting a united front. On Tuesday (March 10), the group shared an emotional collective statement via X, reaching out directly to their global fanbase, ENGENE.

The message arrived just hours after their agency, BELIFT LAB, confirmed that the 24-year-old performer would be leaving the group after six years to pursue a different path. Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki addressed the news together, acknowledging the seismic shift. “We imagine you were deeply unsettled by today’s news,” the members wrote, emphasizing that their primary concern was how the fans would process the revelation.

“Witnessing ENGENE’s distress is our greatest challenge,” the sextet expressed. They reflected on their journey together, calling their shared history “precious beyond words.” Despite the transition, they offered their blessing to their former teammate: “We respect and support Heeseung-hyung’s decision and the new chapter he is beginning.”

BELIFT LAB initially sent shockwaves through the K-pop community early Tuesday morning by revealing that Heeseung would be “parting ways” with the group to focus on solo endeavors. According to the label, the choice followed “extensive deliberation” and was ultimately made with the long-term future of both Heeseung and ENHYPEN in mind.

Heeseung also personally reached out to fans via Weverse, explaining that he had chosen to follow the “direction suggested by the company” for his solo career after a long period of introspection.

The news has been met with a wave of concern from ENGENE, with many expressing sadness over the sudden change in the group’s dynamic. Some fans have voiced speculation regarding the timing, but the remaining six members used their statement to provide reassurance. They promised to use this turning point as motivation to “grow even more from now on” and alleviate the worries of their supporters.

“We will become stronger and never lose our sense of gratitude,” the group concluded. “We are always thankful, and we love you, ENGENE.”
