Ella Mai Teases ‘Do You Still Love Me’ Tour: ‘We Want to Step It Up a Bit’

How does a superstar commemorate her inaugural visit to Saint Lucia? If you are Ella Mai, the answer is by delivering a captivating, high-energy performance at this year’s Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival.

Fresh off two sold-out concerts in South Africa, the Grammy-winning British R&B powerhouse made a memorable stop in the Caribbean. This appearance serves as a vibrant prelude to her upcoming Do You Still Love Me tour. The highly anticipated 40-date run will span major markets across the U.S., Europe, and the U.K., featuring opening sets from rising talents Ama and Girlfriend.

Launching July 7 in Toronto, this tour represents a significant milestone for Mai, marking her first major outing since welcoming her son. During her Saint Lucia set, she seamlessly transitioned between fan favorites like “She Don’t” and “Boo’d Up” to newer tracks, offering the audience a glimpse of the refined production they can expect on the road.

“We are leveling up the production for this run,” Mai shared with Billboard backstage. “While my shows have historically been vocal-centric—and they will certainly remain that way—I wanted this album cycle to offer a more immersive world for my fans. I am genuinely excited to bring this vision to life and share this new music directly with the audience.”

Her latest album, Do You Still Love Me?, has already made a significant impact, climbing the charts with radio staples such as “Tell Her” and “Little Things.” The 14-track project, executive produced by Mustard, continues the momentum from her critically acclaimed sophomore effort, Heart of My Sleeve.

Reflecting on the current state of R&B, Mai expressed optimism about the genre’s trajectory. “It is such an exciting time for R&B,” she noted, pushing back against those who claim the genre is stagnant. “Every other musical style is permitted to evolve with the times. While we all cherish the nostalgia of ’90s and 2000s R&B, a brilliant resurgence is happening right now. You just have to be willing to look for it.”
