Scottish filmmaker Charlotte Wells (Aftersun) is reportedly developing a full‑length biographical film about Blondie’s frontwoman, Debbie Harry.
Harry herself disclosed the news in an interview with The Sunday Times, and named Florence Pugh — known for roles in Midsommar and Thunderbolts — as her ideal choice to portray her. Whether Pugh has been contacted or would accept the role has not been confirmed.
Wells’s drama Aftersun premiered in 2022 to strong critical praise and earned its lead, Paul Mescal, an Academy Award nomination.
