Digital release of the Lost Ruins of Arnak board game delayed — demo version coming soon

The creators of the card-based strategy Lost Ruins of Arnak—the official digital reimagining of the acclaimed board game—have announced a revised release window, shared early looks at the interface, and confirmed plans for a public demo.

Initially, CGE Digital had slated the PC launch of the Lost Ruins of Arnak digital adaptation for the first half of 2026.

However, recent updates reveal that the studio has temporarily pivoted its focus. Resources are currently concentrated on an unannounced short-term project that has taken priority within the developer’s current schedule.

Despite this detour, enthusiasts have reason for optimism. CGE Digital has already developed a functional internal build and promises to release a public demo shortly after full production on the adaptation resumes.

To ensure the final product meets high-quality expectations, the PC release has been rescheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026. Accompanying this news are several screenshots showcasing the game’s menus and aesthetic direction.

In Lost Ruins of Arnak, players assume the roles of intrepid archaeologists leading an expedition into a world of ancient mysteries, formidable guardians, and potent artifacts. The journey involves trekking through dense jungles and exploring crumbling temples to uncover remote, resource-rich locations.

The digital version will feature a diverse cast of characters with unique abilities, the ability to recruit allies, and a series of narrative scenarios with distinct objectives. Players can look forward to competitive multiplayer, a vast collection of cards, global leaderboards, and challenging AI opponents.
