Diego Luna to Star in ‘Tangled’ Remake

According to The Hollywood Reporter, *Andor* star Diego Luna has signed on for Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of *Tangled*.

Luna will portray a character created specifically for this new iteration. He joins a cast that includes Teagan Croft, Milo Manheim, and Kathryn Hahn (*Agatha All Along*). The film will be directed by Michael Gracey, known for his work on *The Greatest Showman*, with production scheduled to begin this June in Spain.

The original 2010 animated feature, *Tangled*, was a massive success, grossing $592 million worldwide. The story centers on Rapunzel, a princess with magically long hair confined to a secluded tower, whose life is transformed after an unexpected encounter with the charming rogue Flynn Rider.

In other news, Luna is preparing to present his latest directorial effort, Ashes (*Пепел*), which will be screened out of competition at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.
