Detective VR combines investigations with nonlinear storytelling in virtual reality
VRKiwi has introduced Detective VR, a virtual reality adventure built around criminal investigations. Players examine scenes, connect evidence and reconstruct the order of events.
The developers cite Return of the Obra Dinn and Immortality as reference points. The game combines close observation with a nonlinear approach to story fragments, while its interface is designed for direct interaction with clues in VR.
Detective VR is scheduled to launch on Steam on September 9, 2026. The game is developed by Studio CHIPO Y JUAN and Valem Studio, with VRKiwi as publisher. A free demo is available on Steam.
