The persistent battle against Denuvo DRM continues as enthusiasts find new ways to circumvent digital restrictions.
Not long ago, a hacker known as Andreh made headlines for bypassing Denuvo in Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties. Now, he has claimed another victory, successfully overcoming the formidable security measures integrated into Ubisoft’s latest flagship title.
Since the PC version of Assassin’s Creed Shadows is fortified with Denuvo, Andreh employed a sophisticated “hypervisor” technique to neutralize the DRM, similar to the method used in his previous exploits.
While the initial cracked build of Assassin’s Creed Shadows was exclusive to AMD-based systems, Andreh has since refined the bypass to support Intel hardware. However, users on the latter platform currently report frequent stability issues and software crashes.
It is important to note that utilizing a hypervisor-based bypass requires players to disable certain core system security features. This necessity introduces additional vulnerabilities and potential risks to the user’s operating environment.
