Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 2 Release Date Rumored for 2027
Anime fans still have a few months of 2026 left, but the biggest franchises are already looking toward 2027. Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle 2 sits at the top of many watchlists. It is the sequel to the highest-grossing anime movie of all time, and it still has no confirmed release window.
Meanwhile, One Piece has announced that its next movie will arrive in summer 2027. One Piece Film: God Valley will be the first film to tie in directly with the official story of the manga and anime.
Eagle-eyed fans have now spotted a possible release date for a 2027 anime movie that could be Infinity Castle 2. Movie listing sites such as The-Numbers.com list an untitled Crunchyroll/Sony Pictures film for Sept. 15, 2027. Sony and its subsidiary Crunchyroll own the global distribution and streaming rights to the Demon Slayer franchise. Sony also sits on the anime’s production committee through another subsidiary, Aniplex.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle 2 may arrive in 2027

The listings for the unnamed movie name Sony Pictures but not Aniplex as the production company. That could mean the film is not Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle 2. Then again, Aniplex is a 100%-owned subsidiary of Sony, so the omission may simply be a matter of terminology.
Another candidate for the 2027 slot is One Piece Film: God Valley, since its announced release falls in summer 2027. But Toei Animation produces the One Piece movies, and the listing doesn’t mention the studio. Sony/Crunchyroll does distribute the One Piece movies in North America. It does not do so in France, the country named in the listing.
Right now, there isn’t enough information to say what the mysterious Sony/Crunchyroll movie due on Sept. 15 actually is. Fans should treat the listing as a tease and wait for official word before they request that day off work.
In the meantime, the first film in the Infinity Castle trilogy, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle, has just landed on Hulu and Netflix. It makes a good excuse for a rewatch.
The movie ended its theatrical run with a $793 million haul, so expectations for the sequel are high.
