Back in 2024, Jackie Hollander was searching for a clear sign to validate her path. Balancing a hectic rotation of jobs—ranging from restaurant hosting and babysitting to cybersecurity—she spent her limited spare time refining her music and nurturing her ambition as a dance artist. “I was even considering getting my real estate license,” she admits. “Everything felt completely chaotic.”
A pivotal shift occurred after her management team suggested a month-long creative retreat in London. Surrounded by productive studio sessions, Hollander thrived within the tech-house sphere. However, as the month drew to a close, the prospect of returning to her multifaceted grind felt daunting. “I’m deeply spiritual, so I reached out to the universe for guidance,” she shares. “I asked for a sign that I was on the right path.” That very day, her agent called with life-changing news: she had secured performance slots at EDC Las Vegas and Outside Lands. The choice became immediate—she went all-in on music full-time.
Since that epiphany, Hollander has cemented her footprint on the scene, racking up releases on high-profile labels like Nervous Records, Black Book Records, and Realm. With recent hits like “High on You” and a dynamic spin on Jayda G’s “All Day,” the L.A.-based producer is set to dominate the summer festival circuit.
Her journey behind the decks dates back to her youth, where she first discovered her passion for DJing as a summer camp elective in Lake Tahoe. Growing up in the Bay Area, she honed her skills hosting house parties in her parents’ garage, eventually immersing herself in the region’s legendary electronic music culture. Moving to Los Angeles for college, she deepened her connection to the nightlife scene at venues like The Shrine, frequently seeking inspiration from artists like LP Giobbi.
The pandemic lockdown turned into a masterclass for Hollander, who invested in pro-grade gear to sharpen her technical abilities. Her big break came unexpectedly when she was tapped at the last minute to fill a void at a campus party. Despite the pressure of performing in front of her peers, the experience was transformative. “I felt entirely free,” she recalls. “It was the moment I realized this was my true calling.”
The Rise of Jackie Hollander
After finding her rhythm, she began working with mentors like Justin Jay and collaborating with fellow rising talent, eventually graduating from college with the skills to pursue production seriously. Even while briefly working in tech, her dedication to music remained constant. “I spent my nights buried in tutorials and sending demos into the void,” she laughs. That relentless persistence paid off: by the end of 2023, she had secured nine label signings.
Hollander emphasizes that young creators shouldn’t wait for perfection. “My consistency was my biggest asset,” she says, noting that she sent dozens of demos to experts before getting a breakthrough. “You have to be willing to hear ‘no’ and keep showing up.”
Tracks to Start With
“High on You”: Her most streamed anthem to date, showcasing her mastery of infectious tech-house grooves.
“All My Friends Are Hot”: A playful, tongue-in-cheek track on Nervous Records that became an instant dancefloor favorite.
“I Look Good”: An assertive, high-energy cut released via Insomniac Records that highlights her growth as an artist.
What Lies Ahead
Currently in the studio crafting an upcoming EP, Hollander is preparing for an expansive run of summer festivals, including Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, and Lollapalooza. Her strategy is simple: stay grounded, maintain a “manifestation” mindset, and treat every performance—regardless of crowd size—as if she’s already playing the main stage.
