Cyberpunk 2077 Reaches Bethesda-Level Milestone with 1 Billion Mod Downloads on Nexus Mods
CD Projekt Red’s sci-fi epic remains a dominant force within the modding community.
Enthusiastic fans continue to bolster Cyberpunk 2077 with a vast array of modifications designed to overhaul graphics, refine gameplay mechanics, and expand the game’s overall scope.
Nearly five years after its initial debut, the title has achieved a massive milestone on Nexus Mods, rivaling Bethesda’s legendary catalog and even surpassing several of their heavy hitters with over 1 billion total downloads.
In terms of download volume, Cyberpunk 2077 has successfully outpaced several other titans on the platform, including major hits like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Stardew Valley.
However, when it comes to the sheer variety of unique modifications, the CDPR project (at 19,100 mods) still sits in the shadow of Bethesda’s giants. For comparison, TES IV: Oblivion hosts nearly 33,000 mods, Fallout 4 approaches 70,000, and the various editions of Skyrim collectively offer an astounding 200,000 creations.
