Curry Barker’s Horror Hit Obsession Will Stream on Netflix in the US on November 17
Obsession has finished its theatrical run. Anyone who wants to see the 2026 horror hit again, or for the first time, now has to turn to digital platforms. Director Curry Barker’s film arrives on Netflix in November, which should set off another round of discussion about it.
Obsession opened in theaters on May 15, 2026. It made $17 million domestically on its opening weekend and kept climbing. Over its theatrical run it grossed $522.8 million worldwide. That is a striking total for a film with a $750,000 production budget.
Obsession is coming to Netflix this November

Obsession is one of the most profitable movies of all time. It has drawn a wide audience and turned what looked like another indie hit from Blumhouse Production into a global sensation. The film reaches Netflix on Nov. 17, which should bring it a new wave of fans.
The date means viewers can’t add the movie to their spooky month watchlist. They will, however, be able to watch it before Grand Theft Auto 6 launches and takes over everyone’s free time.
Obsession stars Michael Johnston as Bear, a shop clerk who has hopeless romantic feelings for his friend Nikki (Inde Navarrette). Bear uses a magical toy to wish that Nikki will love him more than anyone in the world. He soon regrets it, as chaos, hysteria and a true bloodbath follow.
Obsession is currently available to stream on Peacock. Its Netflix debut will likely gain more traction.
