Secure your gold and steady your nerves, for Exandria’s most delightfully chaotic band of misfits is slated for a grand return to Prime Video this summer. A fresh teaser courtesy of Critical Role, Titmouse, and Amazon MGM confirms that the fourth chapter of The Legend of Vox Machina will make its debut on June 3. Judging by the eerie portents showcased in the trailer, these unlikely champions are once again the only thing standing between the realm and total annihilation.

As an animated reimagining of Critical Role’s first Dungeons & Dragons campaign, the series reunites its original architects. The core cast returns to voice their iconic characters: Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us) as the cleric Pike, Laura Bailey (The Last of Us Part II) as the ranger Vex’ahlia, Taliesin Jaffe (World of Warcraft) as the gunslinger Percy, Liam O’Brien (Marvel’s Avengers) as the rogue Vax’ildan, Marisha Ray (Fallout 76) as the druid Keyleth, Travis Willingham (Marvel’s Avengers) as the barbarian Grog, and Sam Riegel (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) as the bard Scanlan. Additionally, Matthew Mercer (Baldur’s Gate 3) continues to breathe life into a myriad of supporting roles, echoing his position as the table’s original Dungeon Master.

In a surprising twist, the newcomer Taryon Darrington—a character originally played by Riegel in the live stream—will be voiced by comedic powerhouse Wayne Brady. The upcoming season also boasts an impressive roster of guest talent, including Kevin Michael Richardson, Debra Wilson, and Tom Cardy.

While much of the plot remains shrouded in mystery, a sneak peek from San Diego Comic-Con 2025 hints at a jump forward in time. The group reconvenes one year after the cataclysmic battle against the Chroma Conclave. Their new objective involves thwarting an ancient, malevolent force that has stirred from a long slumber. Fans of the source material will likely recognize this burgeoning threat, which promises to challenge the heroes like never before.

The fourth season of The Legend of Vox Machina kicks off on June 3, featuring a weekly release of three episodes. Furthermore, fans can rest easy knowing that a fifth and final season has already received the green light.
