Solo independent developer EbonForgeGames has delighted gamers by releasing a playable demo for their ambitious new project Corner Quest. This exciting launch is perfectly timed to coincide with the Steam Tower Defense Fest. The title is a pixel art incremental auto battler featuring remarkably deep role playing elements.
Its standout feature is a clever design that allows it to run smoothly in a small background window while you focus on work or browsing. Your brave mage constantly battles endless waves of dangerous monsters and slowly grows stronger without demanding your full attention.
“I see a real gap in the market for games like this”, noted solo developer Ivan Ganza. “There is room for more titles that sit alongside your life rather than demand all of it. Corner Quest is my take on that. It is a game that is always making progress, even when you are not looking.”
Core Gameplay:
- Resource Gathering. Every defeated enemy yields valuable magical essence. Players must spend this essential resource to unlock brand new destructive spells and upgrade their existing magical arsenal.
- Unique Builds. During these continuous battles your character will also discover rare runes that offer incredible flexibility for crafting highly unique combat builds. You can let the game play itself or step in to min-max your spell loadout.
- Awakening System. Once you reach a wall in your current run you can utilize the awakening mechanic. This lets you completely reset your progress in exchange for powerful permanent account bonuses. This ensures that every future attempt is even more rewarding.
The playable demo is available now. The full commercial release is currently scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.
