Confirmed PS Plus October 2026 Lineup Featuring Newest Mafia Game

Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially unveiled the upcoming PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup for October. Headlined by the latest entry in the iconic crime franchise and Horizon Forbidden West, these titles become accessible to subscribers starting October 20.

Serving as a gritty prequel, Mafia: The Old Country transports players to the harsh landscapes of early 20th-century Sicily, delving deep into the foundational roots of the Sicilian mafia. Stepping into the shoes of protagonist Enzo Favara, players find themselves inexorably drawn into the dangerous orbit of the Torrisi crime family. Beyond the traditional shootouts and underworld dealings, the narrative thoughtfully examines the socioeconomic hardships, widespread poverty, and intense labor struggles that defined the Sicilian experience of the era. As Polygon reviewer Giovanni Colantonio aptly noted in his 2025 critique, the game acts as a poignant reminder that periods of economic desperation continue to foster environments ripe for exploitation.

Because the rollout occurs in phases rather than all at once, release dates vary depending on the title. While Mafia: The Old Country drops on October 20 for domestic users alongside several major releases, the deployment schedule spans multiple weeks. Below is the complete schedule of additions arriving on the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog throughout October 2026:

• Mafia: The Old Country (PS5) — October 20
• Horizon Forbidden West (PS5, PS4) — October 20
• Mycopunk (PS5) — October 20
• Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 (PS5, PS4) — October 27
