I’m Sini, the Community Manager for Cities: Skylines II. In this edition of City Corner, we are pulling back the curtain on how your invaluable feedback directly shapes the evolution of the game. Over the past few months, we’ve prioritized building more transparent channels of communication—ranging from live streams and community events to active monitoring of our social platforms. By keeping a close watch on the Paradox Forums, Reddit, and Discord, we’re identifying the features and refinements that matter most to you.

Connecting Through Streams
Last month, Toadie and I hosted our inaugural official stream to walk you through the enhancements found in our “Spring Cleaning” patch. Launching this series was a top priority, as it allows us to engage with you in real-time, showcase upcoming developments, and offer a more personal look at our workflow. Following several successful broadcasts, we are thrilled to confirm that many more are on the horizon.
These sessions have proven to be an incredible way to bridge the gap between developers and players. Beyond simply presenting features, they allow us to address your questions directly, gauge your immediate reactions, and enjoy some quality time together. We are truly energized by the positive response so far!
Looking ahead, we are eager to expand the scope of these streams. We’re considering deep dives into new content, developer-led Q&A sessions, gameplay challenges, and potentially even collaborations with community content creators. We are still refining this format, so please share your thoughts and suggestions on what you’d like to see in future episodes.
A Deep Dive into Reddit
We’ve also ventured into the Reddit community, recently hosting our first-ever Ask Me Anything (AMA) session. The response was nothing short of overwhelming. With over 600 questions submitted, we were deeply moved by the passion, curiosity, and constructive criticism you shared. It was a powerful reminder of how invested you are in the future of the franchise. A massive thank you to everyone who participated. Given this success, we are already planning future AMAs, so stay tuned for announcements.

Why Your Voice Matters
Our team is consistently active across the Paradox Forums, Reddit, and Discord to gauge sentiment and track requested features. We maintain a living list of community suggestions that we review regularly during development planning. You can already see the results of this collaboration in the game—from the addition of hex codes in the color customization tool and historical building toggles to the option for adjusting UI transparency. This feedback loop is instrumental in how we prioritize future updates.
Our goal is to foster greater transparency and deeper involvement. While we can’t implement every request—though replacing all citizens with dogs would be entertaining—we are committed to meaningful dialogue.
