Chris Pine (Star Trek) is set to star in the independent romantic comedy Carousel, Deadline reports.
The ensemble also features Jenny Slate, Abby Ryder Fortson, Sam Waterston, Katey Sagal and Jessica Harper. Rachel Lambert—who wrote the screenplay and will direct, and is known for Sometimes I Think About Dying—led the project; production wrapped in September.
Last year Pine released his directorial debut, Poolman, which was savaged by critics.
