Oscar winner Charlize Theron has been cast in the lead role of Amazon MGM’s forthcoming film “Tyrant.”
Sources describe the project as a thriller in the vein of “Wall Street” and “Obsession,” unfolding within New York’s high-end culinary world. David Weil, creator of “Hunters,” will direct and co-write the screenplay.
Theron most recently appeared in the sequel to “The Old Guard.” She is slated to appear next summer in Christopher Nolan’s “Odyssey.”
