Charlie Cox Commented on Rumors of a Daredevil Cameo in “Spider-Man: A Brand New Day” and Other Marvel Films

The actor best known as Daredevil has denied rumours that he will appear in the fourth standalone Spider-Man film — a denial that hasn’t convinced many fans.

In recent weeks online speculation suggested Matt Murdock might show up in the new Spider-Man instalment, but the actor has said those reports are inaccurate.

“I know fans assume I’m in Spider-Man because I’m in London. That’s not true. I’m not part of that film — right now I’m fully focused on Daredevil,” Cox told the Phase Hero podcast.

When asked about potential appearances in other Marvel projects, including Avengers: Judgment Day and Secret Wars, he likewise denied involvement. Even so, many fans remained sceptical, recalling how Andrew Garfield once similarly denied appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

That said, it’s entirely possible Charlie Cox is currently occupied with filming Daredevil: Born Again. According to Marvel Studios, the show is expected to release a new season annually, provided audience interest continues. The second season is slated for spring 2026, with the third scheduled for spring 2027.

The film Spider-Man: A Brand New Day is scheduled to premiere on July 31, 2026.
