Missouri-born pop artist Chappell Roan says Mexico City embraced her warmly during her Corona Capital headline appearance. In an Instagram post shared on November 17, 2025, she admitted she was anxious beforehand but was overwhelmed by the audience’s enthusiasm.

Roan also posted photos of her dramatic “screaming banshee” stage look and candidly reflected on her nerves. As she wrote on Instagram, “I was quite nervous for mexico city because I wasn’t sure if the crowd would vibe with me.”

Despite those doubts, she said the crowd’s response was overwhelmingly positive. “But omg the crowd was so wonderful and I felt so loved and supported!” Roan added, promising to keep practicing her Spanish and thanking the city for having her: “¡Gracias!”

On the 2025 Corona Capital bill, Roan stood out as the most pop-forward headliner amid rock-heavy acts such as Foo Fighters and Linkin Park. Her set followed performances from artists including Vampire Weekend, Damiano David and Alabama Shakes.

With Corona Capital behind her, Roan won’t play again publicly until February, when she begins a run of festival dates in Australia. She is scheduled to headline Lollapalooza Brasil and Lollapalooza Chile in March.

Fans may also see Roan at the 2026 Grammy Awards: the singer — who won Best New Artist the previous year — earned two nominations this season, including nods for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her Billboard Hot 100 top‑10 single “The Subway.”
